On the Reform of the Discipline System of Chinese Philology

There are three sorts of philologies in Chinse institutions of higher learning,they are Chinese classical philology,historical philology and philology,separately belong to three different grade-1 subject,namely,Chinese language and literature,Chinese history,and library,information and philology.this kind of present subject system is backward and disorderly,hindered the development of the learing and the subject,should be reformed.The philology is a frontier,Comprehensive and overlapping subject.It should be regarded as a independent subject which includes two grade-I subjects,that is,the comprehensive philology and the unitary philology.The former includes two grade-2 subjects,that is,Chinese classical philology and modern philology;the latter has three grade-2 subjects,that is,specialism,monographic and single-book philology.Each grade-2 subject includes a number of grade-3 subjects.
