Abstract

The Baijiabao landslide in the Three Gorges reservoir area has been used as a case study.Statistical analysis of landslide displacement, deformation rate and crack monitoring data,it shows that the landslide was in prime creeping deformation before June 2007.The landslide was acute deformation under the influence of external factors effect in the June month, and then kept about 75°direction sliding. The frontal part of displacement rate was greater than the trailing edge of the landslide. So the deformation of landslide has towing forward characteristics.Cracks and deformation of the landslide were consistent, and the greater displacement of the regional where the crack more development. The mechanism of rainfall, reservoir water level and ground water level effect on seasonal displacement rate of landslide was analyzed. And the response relationship between landslide deformation and external dynamic influential factors was established. The result shows that the rainfall and reservoir water level was the main factors of the seasonal displacement of landslide.Especially, rainfall intensity, drawdown of reservoir water level and the rate of drawdown of reservoir water level were the key factors of the amplitude of the displacement rate.
