Abstract
This paper analyzes actual value and latent value of archives, i ntroduces present situation of management and utilization of archives in our country, puts forward some countermeasures for improving archives managemen t work from aspects of popularizing the Archives Law and related laws and regu lations, building up socialization consciousness of archives information service , improving quality of archives workers, increasing input to archive cau se, setting up scientific and effective system of archives services.
