Abstract
The results of crossbreeding experiment of Han-sheep with small-tail(HS) reared in Qinghai Province with Polled Dorset(PD) showed that F1 of HS×PD was such advantiges as fast-gain and good meat yield. The body weight of F1 of HS×PD at the age of three months and six months increased 1.29 kg(P0.05) and 5.58 kg(P0.01) than that of HS,respectively. The daily gain increased 29.82g,and the carcass weight, the meat percentage and the ege muscle area increased 5.13kg,4.58kg and 4.0 cm(P0.01) than those of HS,respectively, suggesting that there was significant crossbreeding effect.
