Abstract
The EU′s eastern enlargement strategy will not only greatly speed up the transformation of political and economic system in Central and Eastern Europe, but also will provide a strong impetus with the EU′s strengthening further development. For one decade since its conception, the EU′s eastern enlargement strategy has undergone a lot of drawbacks, and it is still faced with a lot of difficulties and challenges such as the deepening of the EU′s structural reform, policy adjustment, the divergences of opinions; the huge economic gap between Central and Eastern Europe and the EU, the pressure of change of systems. However, people should have reason to be optimistic about the prospect for the EU′s eastern enlargement, and believe that it will produce increasingly greater influence on European and world political and economic order.
