Abstract
EU's eastern enlargement draws the wild-wide attention in 50s last century. Undoubtedly, EU, as well as the whole world, must be affected by the event. In my paper, I just try to analysis the main positive and passive impact on the process of EU integration, including deepening EU's integration, helping EU realize its ambition of becoming a pole of the world and accelerating the old and new member states' development. On the other hand, EU's eastern enlargement makes it more difficult for 25 countries to reach an agreement and weakens the European identity of people in the previous member states.
