Nasopharyngeal carcinoma conventional radiotherapy and intensity-modulated radiotherapy skin injury clinical analysis

Abstract

Objective: A comparative analysis of the nasopharyngeal carcinoma using conventional radiotherapy and intensity-modulated radiotherapy in skin injury happened levels of study.Methods: 47 cases of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients,randomly divided into conventional radiotherapy group of 23 cases,intensity-modulated radiotherapy group of 24 cases.Nasopharyngeal dose are DT 66-70 Gy.Observation compared between the two groups radioactive skin injury incidence.Results:The conventional radiotherapy and intensity-modulated radiotherapy group 1,2,3 level skin injury incidence was 43.5%(10/23),34.8%(8/23),21.7%(5/23) and 29.2%(7/24),20.8%(5/24),50.0%(12/24),two groups of all did not appear grade 0 level and grade 4 cases,two groups of comparisons,grade 3 skin injury has statistical significance(P0.05).Conclusion: Intensity-modulated radiotherapy of nasopharyngeal carcinoma grade 3 skin injury incidence rate is obviously higher than that of the conventional radiotherapy.
