Abstract
Objective To observe the air disinfection efficacy of chlorine dioxide disinfectant. Methods The microbiological aerosol sampler and the culture method were used for laboratory and field air disinfection tests of chlorine dioxide arosol. Results Aerosol spraying disinfectant containing 585 mg/L chlorine dioxide of 14 ml/m3 for 30 min could kill 100% of Staphylococcus albus sprayed artificially in aerosol chamber. In the field trial, the same dosage for 30 min could eliminate over 90% natural bacteria in indoor air. Conclusions The efficacy of chlorine dioxide spray in killing artifically contaiminating bacteria and natural bacteria in indoor air can reach the requirement of disinfection standards.
