Abstract
Forestry is an important public service and basic industry.The host battlefield of the forestry ecological conservation and industry lies in mountain district and rural area.It is necessary for promoting the new rural construction to accelerate the forest development.Connecting to the practices of Henan,the author discussed the important positions and effects of forestry to accelerate the rural development,to realize the rural better-off,to promote the rural civility and to push the rural democracy.Development and advantage and potential of forestry were analyzed by speaking of the development basis,natural condition,land resource,industry advantage and market prospect.Encincturing the rural development,the strategy of expending forestry about consummating the policy mechanism,strengthening ecological and industry system construction,consolidating services and organization was put forward.
