Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB) in brain tissues at different time after experimental intercerebral hemorrhage(ICH) in rats. Methods To utilize stereotactic apparatus and infuse autologous blood into the left caudate nucleus to build up rat experimental ICH model. The expression of NF-κB in cerebral tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry techniques. Results The expression of NF-κB was not only in neurons but also in glial cells and the endfoot of astrocytes.NF-κB was upgraded at 12 h and peaked at 2 d,then decreased. Conclusion NF-κB may have a effect on the formation of edema after ICH.
