Effect of Weiansan on Hp Infection and Ultrastructure of Chronic Atrophic Gastritis Rats

Abstract

Objective: To observe the effect of Weiansan on gastric mucosa Hp infection and ultrastructure of chronic atrophic gastritis rats.Methods: Ten of fifty clean male SD rats were randomly taken as a normal control group and the other forty rats were taken as an applied model by the combination of ranitidine and MNNG for 12 wk.These rats were randomly subdivided into 4 groups: a model group,high-dose WAS group,low-dose WAS group and WFC group.Each group was infused with normal salt solution for 12 wk and their HP clearance was determined,and the ultrastructure of their gastric antrum mucosa was also examined.Results: The H pylori clearance of WAS group is superior to that of WFC group(P0.05).Their ultrastructure obviously improved.Conclusion: WAS has a nutritional and metabolism-improving effect on the CAG rats and a better block and reversal effect on the precancerous lesion of intestinal and atypical proliferation,with a good clearance of Hp.
