Abstract

The hardware platform was built on FPGA(field programmable gate array)and Gigabit Ethernet network controller AX88180,for the characteristics of embedded devices with limited resources,this paper proposed a universal design and implementation program for embedded devices Gigabit Ethernet interface.It presented the organization structure and operate principle of the system in detail;discussed the basic architecture of Ethernet TCP/IP network protocol.It summarized and proposed an appropriate TCP/IP network protocol implement method for embedded devices;gave the network drive and data processing flow chart and simulation results.The communication performance of the system was tested and the experimental results was shown.Practical application showes that the design is general-purpose and flexible,can achieve the actual Gigabit Ethernet communication needs of a variety of embedded devices,and the higher bandwidth advantages of Gigabit Ethernet meet the requirements of large data transmission.
