Abstract

Objective To study the expression of TRAF2 in breast cancer and its relationship with invasion. Methods The expression of TRAF2 in breast cancer tissues and normal breast tissues was detedted by immunohistochemistry and Western blot in cultured human breast cancer cell lines. Results TRAF2 was expressed in breast cancer tissues, but not in normal breast tissues. The expression level of TRAF2 in highly and modeartely metastatic breast cancer cell lines was significantly higher than that in poorly metastatic breast cancer cell lines, and it was also significantly higher in poorly metastatic breast cancer cell lines than in normal breast tissues. Conclusion The expression of TRAF2 increases with the degree of invasion and metastasis in breast cancer, which indicates that the overexpression of TRAF2 is correlated with the invasion and metastasis of breast cancer.
