Abstract
The Three Gorges reservoir area is rich in water resources. This resource advantages are incomparable for North China with insufficient water supply. But in these years, the water environment is also damaged in varying degrees .Its urgent to comprehensively control and protect the water environment of the Three Gorges area. This paper analyses the current situation of the water environment in the Three Gorges reservoir area and probes into the reason of water pollution in this area and discusses the importance and necessity of strengthening the water protection in this area. On the basis of this study, this paper puts forward a major measure to prevent water pollution and puts forward some countermeasures.
