Abstract
The completion of the Three Gorges Project will widen the surface of the reservoir, deepen the water, and slow down the water speed. The flow of large amount of pollutants into the reservoir will largely decrease its water capacity. The paper analyzes the status quo, the features and the reasons of environmental protection in Three Gorges reservoir area. The writer puts forwards some protection measures for reference of department decision making.
