Abstract

This paper studied the effect of different germination temperature, soaking temperature and soaking with salicylic acid solution concentration on the seeds of the castor bean, mainly for the determination of germination percentage, germination potential and germination indexes. The result indicated that, there was significant efficiency of different germination temperature on germination percentage, germination rate and germination index. The effect of seed soaking temperature on them was variable. But the interaction between seed soaking temperature and germination temperature significantly affected them. The best efficiency on them was produced on the combination of seed soaking temperature(25℃) and germination temperature(35℃).The different salicylic acid solution concentration on seed germination rate and germination index has a significant impact. The effect of 0.01m mol.L-1 salicylate was most significant.
