Analysis of the Cause of Lipiodol Incompetely Accumulated in Liver Cancer after TACE

Abstract

Objective To improve therapeutical effects on liver cancer by TACE.Methods Reviewing and analysing the CT and DSA images of 49 patients (52 foci) of liver cancer with lipiodol incompletely accumulated after TACE.Results Four cases (7.6%) were deficiency of lipiodol,5 cases (9.6%) were arteriovenous fistula,43 cases (82.3%) were non-liver artery blood-supplying.Conclusion The primary reason of lipiodol incompetely accumulated in liver cancer after TACE is non-liver artery supplying blood for liver cancer.It can improve therapeutical effects on liver cancer by chemoembolization in non-liver artery.
