Percutaneous liver injecting thermo-lipiodol combined with TACE in the treatment of primary liver carcinoma

Objective To study the clinical effects of percutaneous liver injecting thermo-lipiodol combined with TACE in the treatment of primary liver carcinoma.Methods The 64 cases of primary liver cancer were divided into two groups randomly: 32 patients treated with TACE and percutaneous liver injection thermo-lipiodol therapy after operation,as the treatment group;another 32 patients treated with TACE as the control group.Results The effective rate of treatment group and control group was 68%,34% respectively which had statistical significance between two groups.After operation,the narrowing change of tumor size had statistical significance;postoperative follow-up in treatment group and control group was all for 6,12,18,24months;and the survival rate of treatment groups was 100,84%,50%,31% respectively;for control group,94%,69%,38%,15% respectively.However,there was no statistical significance in postoperative damage of liver function between two groups.Conclusion The clinical effects of percutaneous liver injecting thermo-lipiodol combined with TACE in treatment of primary liver carcinoma is better than routine TACE therapy obviously.
