Abstract
[Objective] The jujube varieties with higher total flavonoid content were screened to provide new thought for jujube development.[Method] With rutin as comparison for making standard curve,the total flavonoid conent of 54 kinds of jujubes were determined and analyzed.[Result] There were much differences on total flavonoid content among various jujube varieties,with the discrepancy of 30 times between the highest and lowest content values.The average content of total flavonoid for 54 jujube varieties was 2.29 mg/g,the maximal total flavonoid content was in moonlight jujube,up to 7.04 mg/g,and other jujubes with higher content were Linxianmuzao,Pozao,Linqilizao,Linfentuanzao,Xiajinmamazao,Huzao,Baodeyouzao,Dongzao and Jishanbanzao.The total flavonoid content for 40.74% jujube varieties was between 1.65-2.59 mg/g,and the flavonoid content for 25.93% jujube varieties between 2.81-4.08 mg/g.The average content of total flavonoid for dry edible jujube varieties was the highest,that for fresh and dry dual purpose jujube ones was the next,and the content of fresh edible ones the lowest.[Conclusion] The total flavonoid content of Yueguangzao was maximal,and it had a good potential in developing functional food.
