Abstract
Aim:To compare the total flavonoid content in apples cultivated with different methods. Methods:The same breed apples were cultivated with different methods(bagged and non-bagged),and total flavonoid in the whole fruit, peel, and pulp were extracted and determined with 722 spectrophotometer. Results:The total flavonoid contents in the whole fruit, peel and pulp of the non-bagged apples were(1 063.1±44.6),(1 688.1±53.1),and(694.3±26.7) mg/kg,and those of the bagged apple were(757.9±31.4),(896.0±39.2),and(666.5±26.6) mg/kg.The total flavonoid contents in the whole fruit and the peel from the bagged apple were higher than those in the non-bagged apple(t=9.69 and 20.80,P0.05).Conclusion:The total flavonoid content in the bagged apple decreases.
