Nursing Experience of Complications for PICC Catheter in 36 Cases

Abstract

Objective To study the peripheral central venous catheterization (PICC) complications and nursing measures. Methods The clinical data of 36 patients with PICC catheter complications were analysed retrospectively. Results There were 8 cases of puncture infection, 1 cases of phlebitis, 12 cases of plugging tube, 8 cases of skin allergy, 3 cases of catheter rupture and 3 cases of puncture oozing. All patients' complications were dominated after nichetargeting nursing intervention. Conclusion Nichetargeting nursing intervention during the PICC intubation can reduce the complications and improve the curative effect.
