Clinical observation of diabetic gastroparesis with weakness of the spleen and stomach treated by a recipe for invigorating spleen and eliminating turbid pathogen for descending adverse qi

Objective To observe the clinical effect of a prescription for invigorating spleen and eliminating turbid pathogen for descending adverse qi on diabetic gastroparesis with weakness of the spleen and stomach.Methods 300 cases of diabetic gastroparesis with weakness of the spleen and stomach were randomly divided into two groups.Patients in two groups received conventional diabetes treatment,while oral hypoglycemic drugs or insulin to control blood sugar.Treatment group(n=150) received a recipe for invigorating spleen and eliminating turbid pathogen for descending adverse qi.Control group(n=150) received Domperidone tablet.The clinical effect and changes of syndrome score of traditional Chinese medicine and gastric emptying rate were observed before and after treatment.Results The total effective rate in treatment group(89.14%) was higher than that in control group(67.15%,P0.05).Syndrome score of traditional Chinese medicine after treatment were decreased as compared with those before treatment in two groups(P0.05).The decrease of syndrome score of traditional Chinese medicine in treatment group was superior to that in control group(P0.05).Gastric emptying rate after treatment was increased as compared with that before treatment in two groups(P0.05).Conclusion A recipe for invigorating spleen and eliminating turbid pathogen for descending adverse qi can improve symptoms status of diabetic gastroparesis with weakness of the spleen and stomach,enhance gastric emptying rate and has no adverse effect.
