Seeking the Inter-culture Aesthetic General Understanding: The pre-disputation on Sino-west Aesthetic Comparative Research by Zong Bai-hua

Abstract

Mr.Zong believes that the center of Chinese philosophy is Dao(doctrine)with the foundation of Qi(spirit),so Chinese art pursuits the combination of illusion and reality, and the grade with dramatic spirit; while the western philosophy emphasized in science, logic and nous so that harmonious, propotion, Symmetry and balance is the characteric of western philosophy. Taking two of this together and achieving the aesthetic standard of all human kind is the destination of Mr.Zong's academical life.
