ZONG Bai-hua's Contribution to Aesthetics Ideology

Zong Baihua, as a pioneer of modern Chinese aesthetics, has made outstarding contribution to Chinese aesthetics of 20th century. Thanks to his uncommon artistic temperament, unique knowledge structure, academic experience of studying aesthetics and philosophy in Germany, and deep understanding of Chinese arts, he is able to base his research on traditional Chinese ideology, concentrate on Chinese art which embodies life consciousness, while at the same time with reference to western aesthetics, and therefore provide aesthetics research model for later generations.
