Abstract
In Tang Dynasty Taoism was prevailing and a lot of people converted to Taoism.Women were part of them,who came from different social strata with different reasons.Limited by the Taoism itself,the number of women believers in Taoism was quite smaller than that in Buddhism.Nevertheless,it was a social phenomenon that women,esp.some ladies from royal family,believed in Taoism,which is worth studying.
