Abstract

The paper measures China's High-tech Manufacturing Industry Agglomeration Degree between 2006 to 2010 based on the Index of Geographic Concentration(E-G index) which constructed by Ellison and Glaeser.According to the result of the measurement,the paper analyses the cause of the fluctuation trend of China's High-tech Manufacturing Industry.The conclusion indicates that during the past five years,though the scales of high-tech manufacturing industries have extended,the indexes of some industries haven't increased.The agglomeration degree of Medical and Pharmaceutical Products Manufacturing and Manufacture of Medical Equipments and Measuring Instrument are ascending,while the indexes of Manufacture of Electronic Equipment and Communication Equipment,Manufacture of Computer and Office Equipments and Manufacture of Aircrafts and Spacecrafts are descending.
