Abstract
The coherent demodulation was employed in MB-OFDM UWB system, and the receiver required channel estimation to get the reference phase and amplitude for all the subcarriers,so the raw data can be retrieved correctly. This paper analyzed the channel estimation based on block-type training sequences for the typical UWB indoor channel model. Then it combined the characteristics of time frequency code, averaged the results based LS channel estimation in frequency domain, then that was proceeded based on DFT transform domain, and an improved algorithm based on DFT was proposed for channel estimation. The simulation results show that the proposed method has better performance than LS or DFT based channel estimation method, and it also has the characteristics of simple structure, low complexity.
