Effect of valsartan on transforming growth factor beta 1 level in serum of patients with diabetic nephropathy

Objective To investigate the effects of valsartan on Transforming growth factor beta 1(TGF-β1) level in serum of patients with diabetic nephropathy.Methods The hospital treated 216 cases of diabetic nephropathy patients as the research object,110 cases were randomly divided into control group and 106 patients in experiment group,Determination of serum TGF-β1 levels by ELISA,and compared between the two groups.Results The control group before and after treatment of TGF-β 1 levels have declined,but the difference was not statistically significant,P 0.05,The experimental group had statistical significance before and after treatment with TGF-β 1 levels,P 0.05,After treatment of the control group and the experimental group of TGF-β 1 levels have significant difference,P 0.05.Conclusion Valsartan can inhibit the content of TGF-β1,which can effectively reduce or control of chronic renal damage in diabetic nephropathy,which slows down the glomerular sclerosis and renal interstitial fibrosis play an important role.
