Thoughts on College English Teaching Reform in the New Circumstances

College English teaching reform is one of the essential parts of the project for teaching quality and teaching reform in universities.With years of efforts,great progress has been made in teaching efficiency,textbook compiling,curriculum design,teaching methods,teaching environment,and the building of teaching staff.However,there are still some problems needs to be solved to improve the teaching quality of College English on a large scale.The author of this article offers such constructive suggestions as updating the teaching concepts,strengthening the building of the teaching staff,employing new teaching modes and methods.
