The effect and safety of Benazepril combined with Valsartan in the treatment of ealy diabetic nephropathy

Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect and safety of Benazepril combined with Valsartan in the treatment of ealy diabetic nephropathy.Methods 82 patients of Type 2 diabetes complicated with ealy diabetic nephropathy were divided randomly into three groups,including Benazepril group,Valsartan group and Benazepril combined with Valsartan group.The course of treatment was 16 weeks.Systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic pressure(DBP),twenty-four-hour urinary albumin,serum potassium and renal function(BUN、Cr)were observed before and after treatment.Results After treatment,systolic blood pressure,diastolic pressure and twenty-four-hour urinary albumin all decreased significantly in three groups,and more obviously in Benazepril combined with Valsartan group.In Benazepril combined with Valsartan group,DBP decreased significantly compared with the other two groups,but neither did SBP and twenty-four-hour urinary albumin.Serum potassium and renal function had no statistical difference between before and after treatment among three groups.Conclusion Benazepril combined with Valsartan has good effect and safety in the treatment of ealy diabetic nephropathy.
