Abstract
Objective To study the effect of mental intervention(MI)on blood sugar in type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods From March to September 2011,60 patients with T2DM treated in Department of Endocrinology of our hospital were selected as the object of this study, who were evenly randomized to control and experimental groups. The patients in the control group were treated with alimentary control, medication, symptomatic treatment and diabetic usual care;those in the experimental group were added with MI besides the same management as that in the control group. One month later, the blood-fasting sugar and 2 hours postprandial blood sugar were determined, respectively. The influence of MI on the control of blood sugar was analyzed. Results The descending value of both fasting blood sugar and 2 hours postprandial blood sugar were higher in the experimental group versus the control group(t=3.994,6.107;P0.05).Conclusion MI can dramatically improve the condition of blood sugar control in patients with T2DM.
