Progress,prediction and consideration of the research of modern sedimentology

Great progress in the research of modern sedimentology is summarized in this paper in aspects of tectono-sedimentology,sequence stratigraphy,event sedimentology,reservoir sedimentology,resources sedimentology,global changes and environment sedimentology.The tendency of sedimentology in the future is predicted on this basis.It is pointed out that study status both at home and abroad,foundational work,dynamics analysis,intercross of multiple subjects and innovation should all be emphasized during long-term development of sedimentology in China.
