Abstract
Through the study of chemical composition of jadeite, the existence of jadeite isomorph was recognized. The classification of jadeite ore colour-forming mechanism were discussed. The characteristics of rare-earth elements and trace elements indicated that the jadeite was derived from the serpentinized peridotite. The research result is useful in the jadeite expecting.
