The Study of City Competitiveness Based on the Ecological Niche Theory in Gansu Province

The success of the competitions between China and other countries and among different domestic areas will depend on the urban competitiveness with the rising of the knowledge economy and the violent development of global economic integration.Therefore,urban competitiveness has become the hot research subject studied both inland and abroad.On this basis,the research designed the city niche evaluation indicator system based on the ecological niche theory with the view of ecology,the values of ecological niche amenity and its attributes of 14 cities in Gansu Province were further analyzed.Finally,the method of hierarchical cluster analysis was adopted to determine the classification of ecological niche amenity.Suggestions on the three development models and the development directions were put forward.
