Abstract

The results of the research on the butterflies in Fuzhou National Forest Park were published here.6 000 specimens were collected during 1985~2001,10 families,120 genus,204 species were identified and recorded according to the classified system of Monographia Rhopalocerorum Sinensium.4 species of them belonged to the rare species which were protected by the government. The main components of the butterfly community were families Nymphalidae,Hesperiidae,Lycaenidae,Satyridae and Papilionidae. The oriental accounted for 62.25% of the total number of the species.Based on the investigation, the change of butterflies' distribution with season and reasons for resources rich was analysed.Butterflies population was affected considerably by artificially imposed disruption such as tourists, installations etc.Several suggestions about the sustainable exploitation of butterfly resources and protection of rare butterflies were given.
