Abstract

Feng You-lan's philosophy research follows Chinese philosophical tradition and western philosophical essence.Therefore,he not only deepens Chinese philosophy's feature of universe ontology of emphasizing rationality,but also relates it to the spirit essence of Chinese traditional philosophy of respecting morality.At the same time,he selects the middle-ground as the method,which runs through the entire traditional Confucianism.As the important achievement of Chinese modern philosophy,his philosophy's contribution is mainly expressed in his three books on Chinese philosophy history and six books on Chinese philosophy.
