Abstract

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of diffusion-weighted imaging(DWI) and fluid attenuated inversion recovery(FLAIR) in patients with superacute and acute cerebral infarction. Methods The regular T1WI,T2WI,DWI and FLAIR images of 60 patients with superacute and acute cerebral infarction were chosed and compared the results of different images. Results The positive rates of DWI,FLAIR and T1WI、T2WI in 21patients of superacute cerebral infarction were 100%,24% and 0% respectively. The positive rates of DWI,FLAIR and T2WI in 39 patients of acute cerebral infarction were 100%,100% and 82% respectively. Conclusion DWI is superior to FLAIR and T2WI in displaying superacute cerebral infarction. There is no difference between DWI and FLAIR,T1WI,T2WI in displaying acute cerebral infarction.
