Abstract

Objective To study different low-field MR imaging sequences in the diagnosis of acute cerebral infarction. Methods 85 patients less than 24 hours of onset of cerebral infarction were enrolled the study, who underwent routine SE,T2WI,FLAIR and DWI scan, and the images were analyzed. Results 17 patients with hyperacute cerebral infarction DWI appeared as the image clear, good contrast, high signal, while FLAIR,T2WI in the image had not changed. In 68 cases of acute cerebral infarction,68 cases could be displayed with DWI,62 cases could be displayed with FLAIR;54 cases could be displayed with T2WI,and DWI sequence showed higher signal intensity than FLAIR sequences and T2WI sequences, and showed larger lesion range than FLAIR sequences and T2WI sequence. In all 85 patients, there were 127 cerebral infarction,127 could be displayed with DWI,indicating rate of 100%(127/127);FLAIR 106,indicating rate of 83.5%(106/127):T2WI 59,indicating rate of 46.5%(59/127).Conclusion Low field MR DWI of acute cerebral infarction, especially in hyperacute cerebral infarction showed significantly superior to conventional FLAIR and T2WI.
