Abstract

This paper has studied five types of forest vegetation in Yuntai Mountain Natural Reserve in Lianyungan. Based on systematic investigation and analysis of the soil properties of morphological peculiarities, physico-chemical, enzyme activity and species diversity, and soil theory and experience of specialists, 17 indicators are chosen, including depth of forest floor, Margalef richness and Shanon-wiener index in shrub and grass layer, depth of humus horizon, soil depth, bulk density, clay content, soil organic matter, pH value, cation exchangeable capacity, total N, available N, phosphatase activity and available K. With different types of grading function equations, the authors have studied the normalization of the assessment indices of soil function, which are vegetation growth capacity, water availability, nutrient availability and root suitability. By SPSS software, the obtained data are compared and analyzed, and the weight of each index is decided. Finally, according to the forest soil health index (FSHI), soil health under different forests is evaluated. The result indicates that the sequence of soil health index in different forests is Rhus chinensis, Dalbergia hupeana, Pistacia chinensisPistacia chinensis, Dalbergia hupeana, Liquidambar formosanaQuercus variabilisQuercus acutissimaPinus densiflora.
