Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between the expression of STAT3 and Cyclin D1 and various clinical pathological characteristics in human cervical carcinoma tissues. Methods Detecting the expression of STAT3 and Cyclin D1 in 12 cases of normal cervical epithelium,24 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and 60 cases of cervical carcinoma as the control by immunohistochemical SP method. Results The protein expression rates of STAT3 and Cyclin D1 in cervical carcinoma were significantly higher than that in normal group and CIN(P0.01,0.05);A positive correlation was found between the expression rates of STAT3 and Cyclin D1(r=0.3268,P0.05);STAT3 and Cyclin D1 were related to clinical stage and pathological grade and lymph node metastasis(P0.01,0.05).Conclusion STAT3 might play an important role in the carcinogenesis and progress of pancreatic carcinoma via up-regulating the expression of Cyclin D1.
