Abstract

Originating in 1990's,the learning theory of constructivism is called a revolution in the educational psychology. It stresses on the central role of students-students are the subjects of cognition while teachers are cooperators and promoters in terms of constructivism. From the viewpoint of nature of knowledge, the occurrence of learning and the roles of teachers and students, the article will introduce and analyze the learning theory of constructivism and its influence upon teaching.
