Remote Meter Reading System based on GPRS Communication Technology

Abstract

To meet the reform and development of power industry and enhance management level of electricity business,GPRS-based remote meter reading is presented in this paper.The overall construction framework of meter reading system is described first,then by taking PL3201 and MC55 wireless modules as the core,supplemented by LM1117,AT24C32,and other peripheral chips,the circuit design of meter reading standby mode by infrared communication carrier is proposed,its function is told of finally.Thus the electric meter reading system is implemented.The system has great value for popularization in the field of electricity meter reading.
