Abstract
By using measure and analysis of biological software, we observed the histological changes in ovarian development of four species of Oedipodidae (Orthoptera:Acridoidea): Epacromius coerulipes (Ivan.), Oedaleus infernalis Sauss., Aiolopus tamulus (Fabricius) and Trilophidia annulata (Thunberg). The results show that the volumes and shapes of oocytes of the four species have acute changes in oogenesis, especially in vitellogenesis, and the increasing of oocytes volumes show a growing model of a power series. The nuclear development of oocytes has great changes at the beginning and without significant changes at the end. Follicles also show acute and periodical changes in the different stages of oogenesis. Furthermore, biological statistics and analysis show significant difference among four species by comparing their changes at every stage in oogenesis.
