Abstract

Against the general background of the cultural exchange between the Han and the Mongols, the author of this paper discusses the influences of the Mongolian music and dance, language both spoken and written, the hobby of the Mongolian rulers and the lenient political environment on the rise and thriving of he Yuan drama, and the contributions made by the Mongolian dramatists, pointing out that the Mongolian nationality and its culture played a very important part in promoting the flourishing of the Yuan drama.
