Cultural Analysis on the Mongolian Words in Yuan and Ming Drama

Abstract

The Mongolian words in Yuan drama is the important marking of the Yuan's multi-culture background.The language interpenetration and influences between Han and Mongolia is the distinguished feature of social language in Yuan dynasty.There were over one hundred words in Yuan drama.By analyzing those words we can find: As a loan word,the Mongolian words have an obvious characteristic of nomadic culture.Those show the part that Mongolian nomadic culture play in central plains,and the differences in vocabulary system rised in the two kinds of cultural backgrounds.
