Abstract
Objective:To explore the electroneurophysiological characteristics in patients with Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS).Methods:EMG,MCV,SCV,and F wave were determined in 25 patients with GBS diagnosed clinically.A total of 126 motor nerves,89 sensory nerves and 57 muscles were detected.Results:In the 126 motor nerves examined ,prolongation of the distal latency was found in 53.2%,reduction of MVC in 70.6%,F waves abnomality was noted in 92.0%,reduction of SCV in 64.0%,EMG revealed neurogenic changes in 68.4%.Conclusion:.GBS might result in widespread peripheral nerve damages.The dominant electroneurophysiological changes might show peripheral nerve demyelination accompanied by axone degeneration.The electroneurophysiological detection might be the very important method for diagnosing GBS.
