On Tao Yuanming's Poetry and Alcoholic Drink

Abstract
It is considered by many ancient and present scholorrs that Tao Yuanming drank for avoiding misfortune and disaster. But, in fact, it would be not so. It would be the reason that drinking was current and fashionable, or be sought freeing himself from spiritual suffering, or he made his artistic conception. The great contribution, which made by Tao Yuanming in alcoholic culture, is that he related wine with poetry. Tao yuanming expressed his truth of temperament in his poems by wine, and displayed his character and moral of jingjie in his poems by wine.
