Abstract
In this paper,ANSYS/LS-DYNA3D finite element analysis software is used to do numerical simulation and comparison analyses of the whole process of vertical penetration armor for three projectile of different nose section radius. The results show that, when the nose section radius R=7.0mm,the time of the projectile used to penetrate the armor is less than the two others, and the rest penetration velocity of the projectile is largest, the radial displacement of the projectile is smallest.According to the penetration velocity's change curve diagram of the projectile,we can see that, the conclusion of the paper is extraordinary coincided with the penetration process described in the reference [2],this proved that the numerical simulation used in this paper is correct.
