Abstract
Mitochondrial permeability transition pore(MPTP),composed of many kinds of protein,is a kind of non-selective and high conductive channel between the inner and out membranes, which also be called megachannel of mitochondria. Many theories support that mitochondrial permeability transition caused by the opening of MPTP is an essential factor resulted in cell death of numerous ways.At present the research on MPTP have a great deal of direction. This article reviewed mainly MPTP structure,MPTP functional mechanism and the relationship with apoptosis.
