Abstract

This paper deals with the synthesis and characterization of a novel Schiff base of 5,5dimethyl1,3dioxothonophosphorylhydrazine with salicylaldehyde(HL),as well as their Cu(Ⅱ),Ni(Ⅱ) complexes. These compounds are characterized by elemental analysis, IR,molar conductivity and electronic absorption spectrum. The Schiff base ligand has been further ascertained by 1H NMR and MS.The coordination state and possible structure in these compounds are given.
